Pressure Cookers - What to Consider Before Buying a Pressure Cooker

Have you ever cooked with a pressure cooker?   Today's modern pressure cookers are safe and easy to use. Look for a pressure cooker with an easy locking lid. Some pressure cookers feature lids that cannot be removed until zero pressure is reached. Almost all of today's pressure cookers feature an easy push of the button steam release and easy to read pressure indicators. Look for a pressure cooker that is made from 18/10 stainless steel, as aluminum pressure cookers will not hold up over time. Also look for pressure cookers with triple wall construction or aluminum cores, as these pressure cookers will heat more efficiently. Consider getting a pressure cooker that comes with a trivet that is placed in the bottom of the cooker, as this will help prevent the scorching of foods.
